"Uh oh Dada" was her first ever utterance.
Then came 'Daddy!'
Next was signing 'dad'.
Now she FINALLY recognizes me! You'd think she wouldl learn all the ways to say mom first, since I'm with her all the time, refer to myself in the 3rd person, and she screams every time her daddy picks her up when I'm around, or even if he hugs me....but it's taken this long for her to get it.
Finally though, and all in one night, I got her to sign 'mom' and say 'mommy'. It sounds more like she's saying 'mee-mee', but I know ;)
We were playing Xbox in separate rooms and I (naturally) was completely ignoring her as I was deeply involved in my little gaming world, and the next thing I know Amaia has crawled onto the couch (also another recent discovery) and is climbing into my lap, all up in my face, pulled off my headphones, giving me a HUGE bear hug, and going 'mee-mee, mee-mee'. I about cried. Of course I dropped everything and hugged her and covered her in kisses (probably too many for her liking). We managed to get her to do it again later in the night-video follows:

Trip to the Park
Friday we went to the park to play. We had a blast, even though Amaia ended up with a total of 10 fire ant bites. She never complained about them. She had leaned over into the grass and came up with her hand covered, which I promptly cleaned off, but they had already gotten her. She was wearing shoes and long jeans, so I never thought to check her feet even after she was walking around in the grass, but her shoes didn't cover the top of her foot and the ants must have gotten under her jeans because she ended up with 8 bites on her left foot.

Dallas Trip
Here are some pictures from our trip to Dallas. Justin Amaia and I drove up Saturday morning to babysit for the Hales while they went to the BYU vs OU football game. On Monday we all went to the Botanic Gardens and then on a sweet train ride (that we ended up driving on a one way street for just to find the darn place!). I apologize to the people who we took pictures for on the trip-I have all your pictures on my computer but I didn't add any of them to this post. On the way there and on the way home, about 3 1/2 hours into the trip, Amaia got carsick and vomited more milk (it seemed like) than she could have possibly drunk. It was her first time in the forward facing carseat and we think she just got carsick, but it was still pretty nasty. We ended up getting the inside of our car detailed when we got back-it was that bad!
amaia ripped off the paper table cloth and tried to color on the cloth one after she ate all my noodles and made a mess of herself

this spider web went all the way across the path up in the trees-the spider is almost about as big as the dragonfly it caught and was in the process of wrapping up

Shooting Videos
Ok, here are some videos from the times we've gone shooting. Some of these are from back in March/May, and others are from just a month or so ago. I didn't watch these to make sure I'm not making any funny faces or anything, so I apologize in advance :)
