June 2009

This month was busy-at least at the start. We flew out to Utah for Ashley's Wedding (my next youngest sibling). We stayed through the luncheon and the reception, and since the reception was over at 5 or something rediculously early like that ;) we took a flight out of there that night. We flew to CO where we stayed the next day with Justin's parents and went to the lake on thier boat. We didn't get much boating done though because by the time we got on the lake it was all stormy and stuff. Amaia has officially learned how to stand on her own (pictures below) and can walk using those walker toys (viedo below). She has taken a few steps on her own (also video for that-there are a lot of videos this month!) but hasn't really started 'walking', if you know what I mean.

A good shot of the dress (that I made) and of her standing on her own
I used the bear as bait to get her to let go of the table and stand alone
the picture I used in her birthday invitations
she got in this box on her own.

she got in this box on her own too

black eye. you can see where it's a little red on the outside is where she hit herself on the corner of a drawer, and when it bruised it spread out all under her eye
her 'teddy' and her blanket. She used to call the blanket "daddy" (or it sounded just like when she said daddy) so I started calling it 'teddy' to help her use that word instead

My bobby pins set off the metal detector at the airport since we came straight from the reception. I had to get searched

first time with a walker toy at Granma's house in CO

I kept trying to get her to say 'mommy' since she can say 'daddy'. this is the result. happened every time.
