The Colby Coalition: July 2009

This month was Amaia's 1st birthday! we had it at a friend's parent's house at Lake Conroe where there was plenty of room for all 40+ people and a pool to boot. We had tons of fun, and everything went great-minus the handful of kids who tried to drown themselves. Amaia had no problem opening presents there, even the wrapped ones, but when we got home and I tried to get her to open the ones i had wrapped, she just banged on them like drums. I ended up opening them for her like a week later. She's now walking around all on her own, and finally learned how to drink from a sippy cup on her own!

amaia's cake-i originall had this whole thing planned, but it didn't work, and i ended up using a box mix for this and just putting it together as i thought of it.
